Shocktoberfest – Reading, Pennsylvania
If you're a Pennsylvania resident and looking for something truly spooky this Halloween, you've found it at Shocktoberfest. Located in an abandoned industrial park that once housed the State Psychiatric Hospital and Willow Glen State Penitentiary, it's one of the busiest attractions around. There's a haunted prison, a 3D maze and maybe one of the scariest hayrides in America on the premises. Because the ground this house was built on has such a creepy history, haunted house goers are usually ready for the scare factor to be way up. They may not be prepared, however, for the kinds of realistic, disturbing scenes and shudder-inducing story lines found at Shocktoberfest.
Seven Floors of Hell – Cleveland, Ohio
This sinister looking structure is, as the name suggests, seven floors of haunted houses. The fact that the budget of this massive haunted walk-through was just about a million dollars should give you a clue as to how badly the folks in Cleveland want to scare you. Among the seven haunted houses, you'll find a haunted circus, a cemetery and Cellblock 13, which is full of dead inmates. If you've recently moved to the area and don't yet know about the Seven Floors of Hell, you'll soon find out!
Fright Dome at Circus Circus – Las Vegas, Nevada
What could be scarier than a freak show? Fright Dome proves that Las Vegas maintains its reputation as the entertainment capital of the world, even on this creepy holiday. If you scare easily, you might not want to visit the zombie mansion or one of the four scare zones here. Stick to one of the over 20 rides. Although there's a lot to choose from when it comes to Halloween haunted houses in Sin City , Fright Dome is the spot to go for the ultimate in horror. If you're not sure, do some research online while you're in Vegas and see what you come up with. While you're surfing the web, don't forget to check out our Moving Squad reviews!
